DESCRIPTION: \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Rural Durham Communit
 y Research Network (https://www.communityresearchd
urham.org/) supports people in rural communities t
o take the lead in researching the issues that mat
ter most to them. It places power in the hands of
local communities\, supporting them to shape quest
ions\, lead research\, and use local insight to dr
 ive meaningful change in communities. \n \n \n \n
 Interested VCSE organisations\, community groups\,
and individuals are invited to join a series of f
ree weekly community research training sessions ha
 ppening throughout April and May 2026. \n \n \n \n
We’re supporting a growing community of researche
rs\, and in 2024\, we delivered workshops\, traini
ng and funded four VCSE organisations (https://www
 .communityresearchdurham.org/latestnews/first-roun

ced) to deliver research. You can hear more about
last year’s training participants' experience here
  (https://youtu.be/MgV5eu5KtbU)\n \n \n \n The tra
ining sessions will be delivered by a small\, frie
ndly team of researchers and facilitators from Dur
ham University\, Durham Community Action and the R
ural Design Centre. The sessions are an opportunit
y to develop new skills\, knowledge and/or to move
forward with a community research idea you might
have. \n \n \n \n Each session will cover differen
t learning topics\, and you can choose to attend a
ll or some of them depending on your interest and
 capacity. \n \n \n \n Session 3 will focus on data
analysis - how to make sense of the information t
hat you have collected.\n \n \n \n It will take pl
ace on Wednesday 6th May from 10.00am - 1.00pm at
Wolsingham Town Hall\, and a light lunch will be p
rovided. Attendees are welcome to arrive from 9.45
am for teas and coffees. \n \n \n \n For any enqui
 ries\, please email jemma.austin@durhamcommunityac
 tion.org.uk (mailto:jemma.austin@durhamcommunityac

bout the ability to attend the training\, please g
et in touch as we're able to consider alternative
arrangements where needed. We're able to cover the
cost of travel to and from the training venue. \n
\n \n \n We want you to have a positive experienc
