The Durham Community Action Share and Learn Network is a network of community organisations that run local buildings and services. Regular meetings take place and focus on various topics including governance, funding and compliance.
Our next meeting is coming up so please come along and join us to discuss:
Digital Inclusion
Digital Durham will be talking about:
- What digital inclusion is, who it’s most likely to affect and what it means for community organisations
- What initiatives are available nationally that community organisations can utilise: from providing communities with free data and devices to free online digital skills courses
- Introducing Durham County Council’s brand-new community digital toolkit and showcasing their postcode checker for digital support
Building Resilience Against Fraud
Officers from local and regional police teams will be attending to deliver a presentation & workshop on Economic Crime. Their aim is to empower you with knowledge and awareness so you are better equipped to recognise scams and have the ability to educate others in combatting fraud.
There will be time allocated during the meeting to allow you to chat with others within the network and share ideas with each other, so please bring along leaflets, business cards and other marketing materials you would like to share.
Attendance is free, although booking in advance is required to secure places.
