It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we are sending you this invitation to attend the launch of the County Durham Poverty Truth Commission on Tuesday March 11th 2025, 12:15pm – 4pm at Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre DL5 4HT.
The day will be filled with the views, comments, stories and truths from people who have suffered and/or are still suffering from poverty in the Ferryhill, Newton Aycliffe, Shildon and Bishop Auckland areas of the County. We feel strongly that this is a real problem within our society. We invite you to work with us to improve the current situation and prevent future generations from experiencing the trauma and difficulties we have, and in some cases are still facing.
We would be very happy and grateful if you would show your support by attending.
Please leave your judgements, lanyards and suits behind. Be prepared to listen deeply and think outside of the box.
“If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far to go together”
We look forward to meeting you.
Please RSVP by 28 February.
Yours sincerely,
County Durham Poverty Truth Commission
Neil, Pam, Edward, Aly, Lesley, Ashley, Amy, Mukadas, Paul, Sherifat, Cheryl, Tom, Stanley, Mark, Cathryn and Julie
