We’re inviting trustees and staff of Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations to join our next online network meeting focused on financial planning and reporting.
What to expect:
- Kay Wightman, CEO & Community Director of Accounting for Good will explain the changes to submitting accounts to Companies House and talk about the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) consultation.
You’ll also have the chance to share your own experiences and tips in smaller breakout rooms, discussing:
- What are the biggest challenges you face with day-to-day bookkeeping and financial reporting?
- How do you ensure trustees understand their financial responsibilities and their financial position
- What would make accounting easier for small charities or voluntary organisations?
The Durham Community Action Share and Learn Network connects community organisations that manage local buildings and services. Our regular meetings cover a range of topics, from governance to funding and compliance.
Attendance is free, although booking in advance is required to secure places which are limited.
Book your place online via this page or contact Isla Ballard on 01388 742040 or email isla.ballard@durhamcommunityaction.org.uk
