We’re inviting trustees and staff of VCSE organisations to join our next online network meeting focused on Community Energy and Sustainability.
What to expect:
- Parisa Wright, Founder, Chief Vision and Partnership Officer of Greener and Cleaner, will be joining us to talk about a new model of UK Community Hubs, including details about the UK Community Hubs Template Package. You can find out more from the Greener and Cleaner Film
- Matt Baker, Founder of Sycamore Net Zero, will be talking about the Heating Hexham project, in particular, the approach needed to set up an energy project and generate interest in communities.
We will also be talking about Climate Action in Rural North East (CAIRN) and how Durham Community Action can support organisations that are interested in starting energy initiatives in their communities.
You’ll also have the chance to share your own experiences and tips in smaller breakout rooms.
The Durham Community Action Share and Learn Network connects community organisations that manage local buildings and services. Our regular meetings cover a range of topics, from governance to funding and compliance.
Attendance is free, although booking in advance is required to secure places, which are limited. This meeting will take place on Teams, and joining details will be sent out nearer the time.
