We’re inviting trustees and staff of VCSE organisations to join our next online network meeting focused on how you engage your community in your Community Energy project.
What to expect:
- David Still, Director at Humshaugh Net Zero, will be joining us to talk about how they engaged their community in the project
- Jacob Hall, Project Manager at Centre for Sustainable Energy, will be talking about their Future Energy Landscapes project and the support they can offer
- Ellie Mackey, Design Associate at Edge Innovation, will be telling us about the research they have completed with Community Energy Projects in Northumberland and County Durham.
We will also be talking about Climate Action in Rural North East (CAIRN) and how Durham Community Action can support organisations that are interested in starting energy initiatives in their communities.
You’ll also have the chance to share your own experiences and tips in smaller breakout rooms.
The Durham Community Action Share and Learn Network connects community organisations that manage local buildings and services. Our regular meetings cover a range of topics, from governance to funding and compliance.
Attendance is free, although booking in advance is required to secure places, which are limited.
This meeting will take place on Microsoft Teams, and joining details will be sent out nearer the time.
For any enquiries, please contact Isla Ballard on 01388 742040 or email isla.ballard@durhamcommunityaction.org.uk
We want you to have a positive experience of this event. Please tell us about any communication, accessibility or other needs that we should be aware of.
