The Community Growing and Food Network, facilitated by Durham Community Action, brings together like-minded organisations with projects or an interest in growing and food. It provides an opportunity for community groups and organisations from all sectors with similar visions to connect, communicate and collaborate, supporting one another and sharing good practice.
Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 15th October from 10.00am – 12.00noon at Quaking Houses Village Hall, Stanley, DH9 7HQ.
There is limited on-site parking, with on-street parking available. Please highlight any accessibility requirements when making your booking. Refreshments will be available, so please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or allergies.
The theme for this meeting is preparing your gardens for winter, with guest speaker Howard Leslie, Horticultural Therapist, sharing practical tips and insights.
As the meeting falls during seed-saving season, organisations are encouraged to bring along any surplus seeds to swap with others during the networking session. This is entirely optional, but it’s a great opportunity to reduce waste, save costs and share resources across the growing and food community.
If you have any further questions or queries before booking, please do not hesitate to get in touch by emailing georgia.donohue@durhamcommunityaction.org.uk
