To celebrate Trustees Week, we’re inviting trustees and staff of Community Centres and Village Halls in County Durham to join our next online meeting focused on recruiting trustees.
What to expect:
- Trustees from TCR Hub will share their recent experience of successfully recruiting new board members, including what worked well and lessons learnt.
- We will also be joined by Charlotte Linton, Volunteering Specialist at Durham Community Action, who will outline the support and resources available to help organisations recruit and retain trustees.
You’ll also have the chance to share your own experiences and tips in smaller breakout rooms, thinking about:
- What are the biggest challenges you face when recruiting trustees for your organisation?
- What has worked well for you in attracting new trustees or committee members?
- Are there any skills, experiences or demographics that are currently missing from your board?
- What support or resources would help you recruit trustees more effectively?
The Durham Community Action Share and Learn Network connects community organisations that manage local buildings and services. Our regular meetings cover a range of topics, from governance to funding and compliance.
Attendance is free, although booking in advance is required to secure places, which are limited.
Book your place online via this page or contact Isla Ballard on 01388 742040 or email isla.ballard@durhamcommunityaction.org.uk
This meeting will take place on Zoom and joining details will be sent out nearer the time.
We want you to have a positive experience of this event. Please tell us about any communication, accessibility or other needs that we should be aware of.
