Day of Celebration and Action on Food and Climate: A Community Good Food Network Event

Registration is closed for this event

The next Food Durham Community Good Food Network session will focus on the Sustainable Food Places (SFP) Day of Celebration and Action on Food and Climate on 29th September.

With the UN Climate Conference in Glasgow coming up in November, the SFP network want to celebrate all the good work around food and climate that is already going on and inspire others to join in the action and begin to make some changes.

This session will explore some of the ways that people can get involved and provide some of the bigger picture. We will also present some of the resources available for use in social media. We hope the session will inspire participants to organise events or publicity in their own communities.

Peter Samsom from Food Durham will provide an overview of food and the climate emergency and guest speakers Charlotte Walton and Tam Mayor from The Auckland Project will tell us a bit about the work they’re developing and how they’re approaching the food and climate day of celebration on 29th September.

The event will take place online and joining instructions will be emailed to you prior to the meeting.
