Do you know of some much loved and iconic heritage in County Durham which you would like to protect and celebrate for future generations?
The Local Heritage List project aims to seek out County Durham’s treasures. These could be anything from benches and street signs to green spaces and telephone boxes. We’re looking for iconic and much loved buildings, an unusual or old street light or something of cultural significance which you would like to shine a light on. We’d like as many people as possible to nominate a heritage asset(s) in the following pilot areas of Bishop Auckland, Durham City, Sacriston, Seaham, Sedgefield, Shotley Bridge, Staindrop and Raby, Stockton & Darlington Railway including Shildon. The deadline for nominations is 5.00pm on Sunday 21 November. |
