Save the Date - Meet the Funders Event 2019

We are delighted to announce our annual Meet the Funders event will be taking place on Tuesday 16th July from 10am - 1pm at Spennymoor Town Hall. We have thirteen funders confirmed to attend so far; bookings will open in early May so look out for more details from us then!

 

 

Free Community Learning Courses 

We will shortly be running our final series of free Community Learning courses for this academic year. Topics include good governance, managing finance, managing volunteers, attracting new business and managing risk. There are limited places available - full details here

 

 

ACRE Village Hall Improvement Grant Fund

The Autumn 2018 budget announced that, to mark the centenary of the Armistice, the government would support several initiatives, including making grant funding available to support improvement projects for village halls. The fund was launched on 5th April;  for full details, please visit the ACRE website

 

 

Celebrate Volunteers' Week with us!

Our Volunteer Centre are holding a Volunteers Fair on Friday 7th June in Durham Market Place as part of the national Volunteers' Week celebrations. The fair is open to the public to come along and find out what volunteering opportunities are available. If your organisation is seeking volunteers, you can take part by booking a stall using the contact details on the flyer. Please note stalls will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. 

 

 

 

Congratulations Investing in Children on achieving the County Durham Volunteering Kite Mark

Investing in Children, a children’s human rights organisation based in Durham working in partnership with children and young people to exercise their rights and participate in decision that affect them, has recently been awarded the County Durham Volunteering Kite Mark. Read more
