Two teams from DCA joined in the Blind Life in Durham annual blind awareness New Age Kurling Competition - a fun fundraising event held at Wolsingham Community Sports Centre. Our enthusiasm outweighed our talent but we had a great night nevertheless! Read more

Third Sector Trends in the North 2019
We would like to invite you to take part in this 10 year study of the voluntary and community sector which is now running right across the North of England. Using the findings, Durham University will build a picture of how organisations and groups work, how they get their resources and how they are planning to work in the future. Read more

County Durham gives generously!
Peter Samsom, a well known member of the Growing Durham team at DCA has committed to the Ration Challenge, which means living on the food rations which would be provided for a Syrian refugee for one week. So far, he’s raised over £2,000 in sponsorship. Read more

Breathing Space project celebrates funding success
Congratulations to Breathing Space, a church project that promotes wellbeing, who with support from Durham Community Action have been awarded nearly £80,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund's Reaching Communities programme which will enable the project to continue its work for a further 3 years.
