Our Finding Common Ground conference for the Voluntary and Community Sector took place on 10th November at Shotton Hall attracting over 100 delegates with very positive feedback on the event.

Durham Food Hub Launch

Food producers from across County Durham are being given a direct route to take their products to market. The Durham Food Hub has been created as part of plans to champion small, independent retailers and is being managed by Durham Community Action.

Volunteering Kite Mark Success for County Durham Citizens Advice Bureau

Congratulations to County Durham Citizens Advice Bureau (CDCAB) who have achieved the County Durham Volunteering Kite mark which demonstrates that the organisation meets standards to overcome barriers to volunteering, and recognises the value of recruiting and retaining volunteers.

New Data Protection Advice Line for organisations preparing for GDPR

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) launched a dedicated advice line on 1^stNovember to help small organisations prepare for a new data protection law called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
